From Jan 1 2009 until Dec 31 there have been only thirteen
AKC Dual Champion Whippets recorded -
They have completed the requirements for their conformation championship
AND field championship thereby qualifying for the Dual Champion Title -
Over the past several years only 10 to 19 whippets each year have
been awarded the difficult to acquire title of DC -
All of the breeders and owners are, and should be, justifiably proud of their accomplishments -
The DC shows the dedication, training, conditioning, time and long hours on the road each has
given for this unique award and the time and planning to achieve the right combination of traits
in their programs that give the dogs the character and ability to accomplish all they were bred to do -
The DC Title also qualifies each for the Parade of Honors at the
AWC National Specialty -
We salute these whippets, owners and breeders and all they have accomplished -
